Prof. Dr. Turgut Karaca was born in Hatay in 1977. After completing his primary, secondary, and high school education in Hatay, he received his medical degree from Ankara University Faculty of Medicine between 1995 and 2001.

He completed his residency in General Surgery at the 4th Surgical Clinic of Ankara Numune Training and Research Hospital from 2002 to 2006. He performed his military service at Balıkesir Military Hospital between 2006 and 2007, during which he also worked part-time at Private Bursa Acıbadem Hospital.
